So nothing to do with our pet treats, except these little guys chose to nest right outside our kitchen door 🙂
5 October – the nest started
collecting spider webs
They left the nest for a while, then rebuilt it and by 24 Nov were sitting on eggs
6 December there were babies
who grew, by 10 December
and by 13 December one had flown, two others outside the nest and starting to squark
by 14 December, the center one is the one who’s flying at the moment, visibly larger than the other two.
16 December, I come home to this
But then I hear chirping from behind some bushes, a sheltered spot near a tank
then one of them took off
They moved into the callistamons
Can you spot them?
They’re also trying to chase down bugs on their own now, and mum & dad are sqwarking directions at them 🙂
